This incident happened in a plane going from Sudan to Ethiopia. Both pilots fell asleep during the flight and the plane overshot the runway. The plane was flying at an altitude of 37 thousand feet. While both pilots fell asleep and failed to land.
According to the details, a very strange incident took place in Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 343 on August 15th. This flight was going from Sudan to Ethiopia. The two pilots who were controlling the Boeing 737 had to land at Addis Ababa's airport. تفصیلات کے مطابق پندرہ اگست کو ایتھوپیا ائیرلائنز کی پرواز ای ٹی 343 میں نہایت عجیب و غریب واقعہ رونما ہوا. یہ پرواز سوڈان سے ایتھوپیاجا رہی تھی. دونوں پائلٹ جو کہ بوئنگ 737 کو کنٹرول کر رہے تھے انہوں نےعدیس ابابا کے ائیرپورٹ فرقہ پر لینڈ کرنا تھا. لیکن جب لینڈ کرنے کا وقت قریب آیا تو جہازآٹو پائلٹ موڈ پر تھا اور اس وقت دونوں پائلٹ سو رہے تھے. دونوں پائلٹ کو ائیر ٹریفک کنٹرول کی طرف سے جگانے کی کوشش کی گئی لیکن وہ ان کو جگانے میں ناکام رہے. جب آٹو پائلٹ موڈ ڈس کنکٹ ہوا اور الارم کی گھنٹی بجی تو دونوں پائلٹ جاگ گئے . دونوں پائلٹ نے اس وقت جہاز کو واپس موڑنے اور لینڈ کرنے کی کوشش کی. پھر آخر کارپائلٹ دوسری کوشش کے بعد طیارے کو بحفاظت نیچے لینڈ کرنے میں کامیاب ہوگئے.
